Job summary

NTT DATA Europe & Latam in Italy seeks a SAP Senior Product Expert to shape the Mobile Scan Simplified roadmap. You will translate SAP warehouse requirements into scalable product capabilities and partner closely with the Product Owner, customers and consulting teams.

You will lead complex workshops, refine backlogs, define solution options, and provide expert functional guidance across SAP RF, EWM, S/4HANA Public Cloud, APIs and integration.

Qualifications

• At least 7+ years of experience delivering complex technology solutions with SAP expertise.
• Deep experience in product-oriented solution development, roadmaps and functional validation.
• Strong advisory experience with customers and consulting, workshops and scope definition.

Responsibilities

• Shape and refine the Mobile Scan Simplified roadmap with the Product Owner.
• Support backlog refinement with functional expertise, options, dependencies and acceptance criteria.

• Develop extension concepts based on customer requirements, SAP standards and product architecture.

• Convert experience into concrete roadmap recommendations and guide development and validation.

Who We Are

The SAP Senior Product Expert contributes deep domain knowledge, challenges and strengthens product decisions, provides substantial roadmap input and acts as a trusted expert for customers, management, consulting and development. The role combines strategic influence with hands-on involvement in Presales, solution design and customer projects.

You will provide senior functional and solution expertise to advance Mobile Scan Simplified and its roadmap in close partnership with the existing Product Owner. The Senior Product Expert works on equal footing with the Product Owner, customers, management and consulting, connects strategic product development with implementation reality and turns complex SAP warehouse requirements into scalable product capabilities, sound solution concepts and clear recommendations.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide expert input to shape and continuously refine the Mobile Scan Simplified roadmap together with the Product Owner
• Support backlog refinement with functional expertise, clear solution options, dependencies and acceptance criteria

• Actively support implementation projects, workshops and functional decisions while safeguarding product standards
• Convert implementation experience and recurring customer requirements into concrete roadmap recommendations
• Provide development with expert functional guidance and support the Product Owner in functional validation and acceptance
• Act as a senior expert and trusted counterpart for the Product Owner, customers, management, consulting, Presales and development

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Economics or related field
• At least 7+ years of experience delivering complex technology solutions, including significant SAP Solution and functional expertise
• Product Expertise & Roadmap: Deep experience in product-oriented solution development, roadmap contribution, requirement evaluation and functional validation. The candidate must strengthen the existing Product Owner with domain expertise, balanced recommendations and a clear view of customer value, scalability and feasibility
• Customer, Consulting & Presales: Strong advisory experience and the ability to work on equal footing with customers and consulting, conduct workshops, identify gaps to the standard solution and translate them into scalable solution concepts, scope definitions and effort estimates
• SAP Warehouse Expertise: Deep knowledge of SAP warehouse and logistics processes, including goods receipt, goods issue, picking, putaway, stock transfers, physical inventory, packing, handling units and warehouse task confirmation
• SAP RF Framework: Substantial practical experience with the SAP RF Framework from previous roles. The candidate should understand RF concepts, mobile warehouse transactions, scanning flows, screen/navigation logic and typical customer-specific RF extensions
• SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud: Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud and a sound understanding of Public Cloud principles, released interfaces, extensibility boundaries, clean-core-oriented solution design and SAP data structures
• SAP APIs & Integration: Good understanding of SAP Business Accelerator Hub / SAP API Business Hub, released and whitelisted SAP APIs, OData services and API documentation. The Product Owner should be able to evaluate API availability and discuss integration requirements with developers and SAP consultants
• Project & Product Transfer: Hands-on experience supporting implementations and transferring lessons learned, recurring requirements and solution patterns into product and roadmap recommendations
• Jira & Confluence: Strong practical use of Jira and Confluence for backlog management, requirements, decisions, solution documentation, release planning and collaboration with distributed teams
• Communication & Influence: Business-fluent English, strong workshop facilitation, structured communication and the ability to influence Product Owner, customers, management, consulting and technical stakeholders through expertise and sound recommendations

Nice To Have

• Experience in operational warehouse environments, experience with mobile warehouse applications and industrial scanning devices is highly valuable
• Understanding how device capabilities, scanning ergonomics, connectivity and operational usability influence product decision
• Experience with Zebra, Honeywell or comparable rugged Android handheld scanners
• Experience with SAP EWM and/or SAP MM in warehouse and inventory scenarios
• Understanding of mobile UX, touch-optimized warehouse processes and barcode-driven workflows
• Working knowledge of Firebase from a product and operational perspective, for example diagnostics, telemetry, analytics, configuration or mobile application lifecycle support
• Understanding of REST, JSON, HTTP and authentication concepts such as OAuth, sufficient to discuss solution implications with technical teams
• Experience with SAP BTP, SAP Mobile Services, OpenAPI / Swagger or related integration tooling is beneficial
