Distech Controls is expanding its Italian team and seeks a Sales Support Engineer (SSE) to support the sales force with technical expertise from Northern Italy, ideally Milan area, while working remotely. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and system integrators to drive adoption of Distech Controls solutions.

Qualifications

• Engineer or equivalent with at least 5 years in building automation.
• Programming knowledge in PLC languages of various brands.
• Proficient in BMS systems and protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks).
• Knowledge of IoT/IT protocols: API REST, JSON, MQTT, IoT Hub, Node-RED.
• Knowledge of IT networks and cybersecurity standards.
• Knowledge of cloud architectures and related principles.
• Strong synthesis ability linking field requests with OT/IT/EDGE/CLOUD solutions.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Pedagogical skills and ability to work in a team and manage priorities.
• Travel in the region around 40%.

Responsabilités

• Manage the technical relationship with customers and perform on-site tasks as needed.
• Support sales during presentations, demos, and onboarding.
• Lead on-site or remote meetings with system integrators on developments and product introductions.
• Support system integrators on initial and strategic projects to ensure success.
• Design content and lead information sessions with the Demand Generation team and designers.
• Share experience from projects with R&D and Product Management.
• Collaborate with marketing on product launches and events (webinars, trade shows).
• Manage projects independently and coordinate with needed departments amid changing schedules.
