A leading company in renewable energy based in Italy is seeking a Sales Manager for the Renewable Energy & Utilities sector. The ideal candidate will define and implement commercial strategies while managing the entire sales cycle. Proven experience of 3–5 years in sales, especially within energy or utility sectors, is essential. Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills are required, alongside proficiency in English and strategic thinking. This role also involves expanding the customer base and ensuring the achievement of sales targets. National and international travel may be necessary.

Sales Manager – Renewable Energy & Utilities

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define, develop, and implement the commercial strategy for the Renewable Energy and Utility market, aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
  • Monitor and actively participate in tenders and bids, ensuring competitive and high-quality proposals.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and pricing agreements.
  • Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts to support business planning.
  • Act as the main point of contact for key customers, ensuring strong and lasting client relationships.
  • Transform key clients into strategic partners, driving sustainable growth in revenue, market share, and product adoption.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project delivery.
  • Conduct market intelligence and competitive analysis to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Expand the customer base within the Renewable Energy and Utility sectors.
  • Ensure the achievement — and where possible, the overachievement — of company sales targets.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of proven sales experience, preferably within the energy, renewables, or utility sectors.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a proven ability to build long-term client relationships.
  • Strategic mindset combined with analytical thinking and a results-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in English (both written and spoken); knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
