Galileo is a fast-growing renewable energy IPP, investor and operator undergoing a dynamic start-up phase. Based in Milan with hybrid remote options, this 6-month full-time Accounting Intern position supports AP activities and month-end closing across Europe, reporting to the Accounting Manager.

You’ll assist in purchase orders, match invoices, and help with data integrity and monthly closings while collaborating with colleagues across Europe in an informal, growth-oriented environment.

Competenze

• High school diploma in Accounting and/or a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related subjects, or currently studying in one of these fields.
• A previous internship or short experience in finance, accounting, or administration is a plus.
• At least intermediate knowledge of English (written).
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Problem-solving attitude and ability to work well in a team.

Mansioni

• Support the management of purchase requests and the creation of purchase orders.
• Assist in matching supplier invoices with purchase orders and/or collecting the required approvals.
• Support the Accounts Payable team in day-to-day administrative and accounting activities.
• Help analyse payment due dates and support the payment run process.
• Assist in checking the consistency of data between the Procure-to-Pay system and the accounting system.
• Support the preparation of documents and data needed for the monthly closing process.
• Interact with external accounting service providers and internal stakeholders to support smooth finance operations.
• Maintain accurate records and help ensure proper filing of accounting documentation.
