Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. in Europe (EMEA) is seeking a Vice President in Medical Science and Strategy – Cardiovascular to drive strategic medical input for proposals and client discussions across assets in development.

The role offers a fully remote arrangement within the EMEA region, with travel flexibility, leadership responsibilities, and collaboration with senior medical and scientific leadership to shape clinical development programs and bid defenses.

Qualifications

• MD required; board certification preferred (Cardiology).
• At least 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry leading cardiovascular clinical development programs, including advancement of at least one asset from discovery through registration.
• Active medical license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality input into significant requests for proposals (RFPs) and bid defenses.
• Develop strategy on regulatory issues and drug class considerations for cardiovascular assets.
• Guide protocol and indication considerations, including safety and trial design.
• Educate internal staff on indications and interact with client physicians and area leaders.
• Identify business opportunities for the PPD clinical research portfolio and support client governance.
• Provide therapeutic and developmental expertise to internal teams and mentor clinical scientists.
