Cepheid is seeking a Technical Support Specialist – Systems to provide advanced product support for Cepheid’s molecular diagnostics instruments, ensuring timely resolution of hardware, software and connectivity issues that affect patient outcomes.

You will report to the Customer Care Manager of Italy/Portugal and join the Technical Customer Support team in South Europe, with remote work flexibility. Travel up to 15% in Europe is required.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Biomedical-engineering, Life Sciences or related field with several years in technical support of medical devices.
• 2-3 years of healthcare/biomedical experience handling medical devices in the region and knowledge of diagnostic market.
• Familiarity with molecular diagnostics and laboratory workflows in clinical or research settings.
• Troubleshooting complex hardware/software issues of laboratory instruments in regulated environments.
• Proficiency with computer systems and networking (Windows, LIS integration, basic networking) in labs/hospitals.

Mansioni

• Provide expert technical support via phone, email, and web for instrumentation systems (hardware, software, connectivity) and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Engage customers to collect and document instrument-related information, perform root-cause analysis and replicate issues to identify solutions.
• Conduct advanced data analysis and systematic troubleshooting to pinpoint causes of failures and resolve technical problems.
• Investigate and resolve instrument functionality issues, prioritizing critical cases to restore system uptime and support remote or on-site visits.
• Share expertise across systems, contribute to knowledge base updates, mentor colleagues, and assist with training.
