Job summary

Qonto is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for the Storage team to keep our databases resilient, safe, and highly available. You will operate banking‑grade storage infrastructure—PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka and Elasticsearch—and build self‑serve tooling for backend teams.

You will shape incident response, disaster‑recovery roadmaps, and the security of storage APIs for autonomous agents, while collaborating with a growing team across Europe on a remote‑first basis.

Qualifications

• Solid PostgreSQL production experience with backups/restores and safe changes.
• Working knowledge of Redis, Kafka or Elasticsearch; ability to pick up new systems quickly.
• Practical use of AI in daily workflow to speed up debugging, coding, or operations.
• Able to ship features, not just scripts, for internal platform tools.
• Calm, rigorous incident response practice on stateful systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and safeguard storage infrastructure: PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, Elasticsearch in production.
• Own incident response and root-cause analysis for performance or reliability issues.
• Define and prioritize backup and disaster-recovery roadmaps with Risk & Compliance teams.
• Ship code for internal platform APIs to let backend teams spin up storage resources quickly.
• Contribute to making storage APIs safe and traceable for autonomous agents.
