Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior ML Engineer - Email Security to work remotely from Italy. You will develop and deploy transformer-based models to detect spam, phishing, and other email threats, targeting a scalable solution that runs on customer CPUs with minimal resources.

You will own end-to-end ML development, from dataset preparation to production releases, and cooperate with engineering partners to modernize the filtering pipeline.

Qualifications

• Production detection experience in ML systems with low FP impact.
• End-to-end ML ownership from data to release.
• Transformer training experience with PyTorch.
• Systems and development skills on Linux, shell, and Python.
• AI-assisted development experience.
• Strong written English (B2+).
• Ability to analyze model performance and balance detection with false positives.

Responsibilities

• Train, evaluate, and release spam-detection models and thresholds.
• Develop production components of a new email-filtering engine in Go.
• Investigate and fix detection issues via data or model updates.
• Balance detection rates with false-positive risk.
• Maintain training corpora and tooling for experiments.
• Review code and model changes for quality and releases.
• Document specifications and handbooks for collaboration.
• Deliver milestones including rule-model releases and staging components.
