Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Service Technology Engineer – Power to join our Service technology team. You will act as the technical authority for analyzing system data and driving insights that improve performance and reliability of digitally enabled Power products, collaborating across engineering, support, and field teams.

This role supports NPDI activities, defines telemetry requirements, validates monitoring capabilities, and enables seamless integration into Digital Services platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five years of customer-facing technical experience in data center or mission-critical environments.
• Strong expertise in Power systems and diagnostic ability.
• Experience with digital service solutions to monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot Power system data.
• Experience supporting NPDI activities with engineering and product teams.
• Familiarity with telemetry standards: SNMP, MODBUS, or API-based data models.
• Experience with cloud-based data analysis is highly desirable.
• Travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for analyzing parametric, telemetric, diagnostic, and alarm data for Power products.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, technical support, and field service teams to validate data accuracy and troubleshoot issues.
• Define telemetry requirements and ensure monitoring readiness prior to product release (NPDI).
• Participate in design reviews to ensure serviceability and digital integration.
• Lead onboarding of new products into Digital Services platforms, including data integration and dashboard readiness.
• Analyze system performance trends and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge articles.
• Collaborate with firmware, controls, and software teams to ensure data exposure consistency.
• Support pilot deployments, beta testing, and early field validation.
• Participate in customer engagements, escalations, and strategic projects as required.
