Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to shape data center electrical designs as part of the Presales team. You will bridge engineering, manufacturing and disciplines to deliver modular, scalable power solutions for hyperscale, enterprise, and edge facilities.

You will drive concept design, apply AI-enabled design considerations, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to meet client requirements in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical power system design.
• Knowledge of load calculations, short circuit and protection coordination modeling tools.
• Proficiency in sizing and specification of electrical equipment and installations.
• Strong written and oral communication across engineering and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Concept design of data center electrical power systems and architecture.
• Perform electrical load calculations, arc flash, short circuit studies and modeling.
• Create electrical single-line diagrams and interface with other disciplines.
• Review RFPs and tender documents to derive customer-focused solutions.
• Support and prepare modular data center technical solutions and quotations.

In this role you will help shape data center and critical infrastructure electrical designs as part of Vertiv’s Presales team. You’ll bridge engineering, manufacturing and disciplines to deliver integrated power solutions for hyperscale, enterprise, and edge facilities. You will drive concept design, apply AI-enabled design considerations, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to meet client requirements. This position offers a fast-moving environment focused on scalable, modular data center architectures and trusted customer outcomes.

• Concept design of data center electrical power systems and architecture, including LV and MV distribution, auxiliary systems, and related protection coordination
• Electrical load calculations, arc flash, short circuit studies and modeling
• Creation of electrical single-line diagrams and interface with other technical disciplines (architectural, structural, HVAC, controls, fire protection)
• Review of RFPs and tender documents to derive customer-focused solutions
• Support and prepare modular data center technical solutions and quotations
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
