Job summary

Delonghi is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to drive component and sub-assembly design from specification through Start of Production. You will lead 3D/2D CAD work in Siemens NX, conduct DFMEA, and collaborate with R&D, Industrial Design, and Purchasing to balance performance, obsolescence, and cost.

The role involves preparing feasibility studies, maintaining technical documentation, and participating in design reviews to ensure right-first-time outcomes for products reaching millions of users.

Qualifications

• Experience designing mechanical components and systems.
• Familiarity with DFMEA and technical BOM preparation.
• Knowledge of mass production product development.
• Ability to evaluate test results with laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess specifications and feasibility.
• Prepare feasibility studies with Industrial Design and R&D.
• Create and maintain component and sub-assembly specifications.
• Execute CAD design for parts and layouts (3D/2D).
• Support R&D in prototype testing and validation.
• Lead DFMEA documentation and BOM preparation.
• Collaborate on costs and investments with Purchasing.
• Organize and participate in technical design reviews.
• Prepare documentation for project status and next steps.
