Job summary

Delonghi is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to drive component and sub-assembly design through the New Product Development process, from specification to Start of Production. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust, right-first-time designs and balance performance with obsolescence and cost.

The role focuses on CAD design, design reviews, and DFMEA to deliver high-quality products for a global market, working with moulding departments and supporting prototype testing.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing mechanical components and systems.
• Proficiency with Siemens NX for 3D/2D layouts.
• Knowledge of mass production product development.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and evaluating test results.
• Ability to conduct DFMEA documentation.

Responsibilities

• Drive component and sub-assembly design through NPD from spec to Start of Production.
• Lead CAD design for parts and layouts (3D/2D) and perform design reviews.
• Prepare feasibility studies with Industrial Design and R&D.
• Organize and participate in technical design reviews.
• Prepare technical documentation for project status and next steps in reviews and NPD meetings.
• Collaborate with local R&D and Purchasing on costs/investments.
