Job summary

The Language Doctors is seeking skilled Italian-to-English medical translators and editors for long-term, high-volume projects involving handwritten clinical, pharmaceutical, and patient-centered materials. Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Italian and English.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in medical translation/editing.
• Experience working with handwritten medical materials.
• Strong familiarity with clinical terminology, pharmaceutical content, or patient records.

Responsibilities

• Accurately decipher, translate and edit handwritten Italian medical documents into clear English translations.
• Ensure consistency in tone, style, and medical terminology across documents.
• Collaborate with project managers and QA teams to clarify illegible content and uphold editorial standards.
• Apply regulatory and stylistic conventions in line with client specifications and industry standards.
