Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Creative Writing Evaluator for AI training. This remote, hourly contract role invites you to read AI-generated fiction, poetry, and prose and provide actionable feedback to improve clarity and engagement.

You will rate outputs using structured rubrics, identify clichés or pacing issues, and communicate insights asynchronously on your own schedule, with 10-40 hours per week available.

Qualifications

• Love of reading and writing with a strong sense of what makes writing work
• Ability to articulate why something reads well - or doesn't
• Strong command of English grammar, style, and voice
• Comfortable working through large volumes of text with consistency and care
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated when working independently
• No prior AI experience or publishing credits required

Responsibilities

• Read and evaluate AI-generated creative writing across genres including fiction, poetry, essays, and more
• Assess writing for quality, originality, style, tone, coherence, and reader engagement
• Identify weaknesses such as clichés, unnatural phrasing, pacing issues, and logical inconsistencies
• Provide clear, constructive written feedback to guide AI writing improvements
• Rate outputs using structured evaluation rubrics
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
