Vertiv is hiring a Firmware and Control Engineer for Castel Guelfo (BO), Italy. You will design, analyze and troubleshoot firmware for embedded systems, read hardware diagrams, define tests, document results, and support customers with technical issues.

The role requires 3+ years in control algorithms with Simulink/Matlab, C for DSP, and familiarity with CAN/I2C/SPI protocols. A Master’s in Software or Electronic Engineering is preferred; travel may be required.

• Master’s degree in Software or Electronic Engineering or equivalent.

• Design, analyze and troubleshoot firmware for allocated functions and understand hardware principles.
• Provide firmware test specifications and support during product life cycle.
• Collaborate with tech-support to resolve field problems.
• Cooperate with other engineering functions in product specification definition.
• Support test planning and review test results.
• Produce technical documentation in line with process requirements.
