Vertiv is hiring a Firmware and Control Engineer for Castel Guelfo (BO), Italy. You will design, analyze and troubleshoot firmware for embedded systems, read hardware diagrams, define tests, document results, and support customers with technical issues.
The role requires 3+ years in control algorithms with Simulink/Matlab, C for DSP, and familiarity with CAN/I2C/SPI protocols. A Master’s in Software or Electronic Engineering is preferred; travel may be required.

We are currently seeking a Firmware and Control Engineer to join our dynamic team in Castel Guelfo (BO), Italy. This position is responsible for designing, analyzing and troubleshooting firmware code (IC embedded code), contributing to code reviews and team performance improvement. The engineer reads and understands the hardware and embedded system diagrams, defines tests to validate firmware designs, writes proper documentation, motivates team members, and guarantees clear information flow to avoid misunderstandings and lack of clarity. The role also provides technical support to customers, analyzes specific applications, and offers active support and service.

The anticipated salary range for this role in the Castel Guelfo (BO), Italy locality is between 41,000€ to 52,000€ gross per year (based on a 40‑hour work week). Certain roles are eligible for additional benefits.
