Job summary

Alstom is seeking a PROJECT INSTALLATION MANAGER to lead site operations in Bologna, Florence, Rome or Bari. You will plan and manage all site activities, ensuring integration of installation and testing across the complete system, with end-to-end responsibility for QCD and safety compliance.

The role requires 5+ years in railway field execution, strong interface knowledge between civil works and rail subsystems, subcontractor management, and robust health & safety experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in field work execution in the railway sector.
• Strong understanding of interface processes between civil works and rail sub-systems.
• Experience in Environment, Health & Safety, knowledge of local legal requirements.
• Experience in management and evaluation of subcontractors.
• Team spirit approach and good communication skills.
• Possess the agility to adapt to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage all site operations in close cooperation with PM, Installation Engineering and Design activities, Procurement and Logistics, ensuring integration on field and installation of the complete System.
• End-to-end accountability at project level for QCD and performance within Signalling and security strategy, local regulations and standards.
• Coordinate site activities, facilities, resources, site access and tools.
• Deliver and maintain installation and test plans, procedures, and work method statements.
• Manage installation works for all sub-systems and system equipment and performance, including risk and interfaces.
• Oversee sub-contractor performance via site visits, inspections and assessments.
• Coordinate interfaces with 3rd parties (facilities providers, civil work partners).
• Coordinate Installation Engineering & Design for the complete System with inputs from Sub-System Engineering.
• Oversee industrial, procurement and logistics activities and deployment of Signalling Installation Process on site.
