Hitachi Rail S.p.A. in Naples, Italy, is seeking a Data Scientist who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The role spans from administrative to strategic tasks with a focus on data-driven maintenance and reliability in rail operations.

The candidate will develop prognostic models, dashboards and tools using Python, SQL, Power BI and Grafana, deployed on Kubernetes, to connect field ops with maintenance teams and minimise downtime.

Competenze

• At least one year experience in railway domain or similar industry.
• Experience in Python and SQL, and version control (SVN, Git).
• Proficiency with Power BI and Grafana dashboards.
• Able to read electrical/software specifications (UML).
• Experience deploying production code on Kubernetes pipelines.
• Experience with time-series forecasting and CBM/RUL analysis.
• Statistical analysis and quality-control experience.
• Big data / ML and deep-learning exposure.
