Alphabet Racing Italia is seeking a skilled Race Engineer to join our single-seater motorsport team. You will run one car during DIL sessions and races, manage a small car team, and lead simulation and DIL setup preparation with the Lead Race Engineer and Racing Director.
Your work in data analysis and event reporting will be crucial to peak on-track performance. The role requires strong leadership, rapid data-driven decisions, and extensive experience with racing tools and vehicle dynamics.
We are a team racing in the F4, FIA F3 and FIA F2 categories. We are seeking a skilled Race Engineer to join our single-seater motorsport team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to work at the cutting edge of motorsport technology, ensuring our race cars perform at peak levels on and off the track.
The Race Engineer is primarily responsible for running one car during DIL sessions, races, and test events, managing the car team, which includes one driver, one performance engineer (for F2), and two to three race mechanics. The Race Engineer will work closely with, and under the supervision of, the Lead Race Engineer, Team Manager, and Racing Director. At the workshop, they will be primarily responsible for simulation and DIL setup preparation, while also participating in other tasks related to car and setup development, run planning, data analysis, car build specifications, bench tests, lifing, and general event preparation and reporting. Our engineering structure also includes a remote team dedicated to data, simulation, aero, and vehicle dynamics performance analysis, as well as a software development department.
This is a strongly team-oriented role requiring a genuine team-first mentality. The Race Engineer is expected to put the interests and overall performance of the team above personal convenience, support colleagues proactively, and contribute wherever assistance is required. They must be flexible and willing to undertake reasonable additional duties beyond their immediate responsibilities, particularly during demanding event periods, unexpected operational situations, or whenever doing so is necessary to support teammates and achieve the team's objectives.
