Cummins Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer for its Quality Assurance Department in Cameri, Italy.

You will serve as the main quality liaison with customers and the plant, driving rapid containment of issues and leading structured problem-solving activities to root-cause and prevent recurrence. The role demands experience with automotive quality, proficiency in core tools (APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC), and strong communication in Italian and English.

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience within Automotive Quality or Manufacturing Quality.
• Experience managing customer relationships and leading structured problem-solving activities.
• Strong knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and quality standards (IATF 16949, Core Tools).

Mansioni

• Act as the primary quality liaison between customers and the plant, building relationships and addressing concerns quickly and professionally.
• Drive rapid containment and resolution of customer quality issues to protect customer satisfaction.
• Lead structured root cause investigations using 8D, 5 Why, A3, Kaizen, and Ishikawa to identify and prevent recurrence.
• Implement robust corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality and reduce non-quality costs.
• Promote a customer-focused quality culture across cross-functional teams and ensure quality awareness.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Supplier Quality, Logistics, and Manufacturing to identify and mitigate quality risks early.
• Support customer audits, quality reviews, and performance meetings with data-driven insights.
