Cummins Inc. in Cameri, Italy, is seeking a Quality Engineer for our Quality Assurance Department.

You will act as the primary liaison between customers and the manufacturing plant, driving containment and corrective actions to protect customer satisfaction. You will lead structured root-cause investigations using 8D, 5 Why, A3, Kaizen, and Ishikawa, implement CAPA, and promote a customer-focused quality culture across cross-functional teams.

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Automotive Quality or Manufacturing Quality with proven customer-satisfaction impact.
• Experience managing customer relationships and leading structured problem-solving to resolve quality issues.
• Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and quality standards (IATF 16949 and Core Tools).

• Act as the primary quality liaison between customers and the manufacturing plant, building strong relationships and ensuring customer concerns are addressed quickly, professionally, and effectively.
• Drive rapid containment and resolution of customer quality issues, minimizing disruption and protecting reputation and satisfaction.
• Lead structured root cause investigations using 8D, 5 Why, A3, Kaizen, and Ishikawa to identify and eliminate recurring quality problems.
• Implement CAPA to improve product quality and reduce customer complaints and improve operations.
• Champion a customer-focused quality culture across the plant with cross-functional teamwork and accountability.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Supplier Quality, Logistics, and Manufacturing to identify quality risks early and implement improvements.
• Support customer audits, quality reviews, and performance meetings with data-driven insights and compliance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to reduce PPM, lower non-quality costs, and improve customer scorecards.
