OverIT - Field Service Management is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing solutions for our web and mobile apps. You will build reusable components, expand test coverage, and contribute to framework improvements.

You will collaborate with Software Engineers, QA, and Product Owners to ensure robust automation within CI/CD pipelines and drive quality across the product lifecycle.

What you’ll do

• Test Automation Engineering: design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automated testing solutions, with a strong focus on software quality, maintainability, and reusability.
• Automation Development: write clean, reliable, and maintainable automation code in Python, developing automated test cases and reusable components for our web and mobile applications.
• Framework Development & Maintenance: contribute to the design, development, and continuous improvement of our automation frameworks, ensuring they are scalable, reusable, and aligned with software engineering best practices.
• Test Design & Implementation: translate functional and technical requirements into effective automated test scenarios, maximizing test coverage while keeping test suites efficient and maintainable.
• Web & Mobile Automation: develop and maintain automated tests across web and mobile applications using technologies such as Selenium WebDriver and Appium.
• CI/CD Integration: integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, helping ensure that automation is a reliable and effective part of our software delivery process.
• Debugging & Continuous Improvement: investigate automation failures, identify root causes, and improve the reliability, performance, and stability of automated test suites and frameworks.
• Automation Practices: contribute to the evolution of our automation guidelines, testing strategies, coding standards, and technical practices.
• Team Collaboration: work closely with Software Engineers, QA Engineers, Product Owners, and other technical stakeholders, sharing knowledge and contributing to a strong engineering culture around test automation.

What you’ll need

• Software Engineering & Automation Experience: proven experience as a Software Engineer, QA Automation Engineer, Test Automation Engineer, or in a similar technical role, with a strong focus on developing automated testing solutions.
• Strong Programming Skills: solid proficiency in Python and the ability to write clean, maintainable, reusable, and testable code. A strong software engineering mindset is essential.
• Automation Frameworks: hands-on experience designing, developing, or maintaining automation frameworks. Experience with Robot Framework is highly preferred; strong expertise in alternative frameworks is also valuable, together with the willingness to work with Robot Framework.
• Web & Mobile Automation: hands‑on experience with Selenium WebDriver for web automation and Appium for mobile testing.
• Test Automation Principles: strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, automation patterns, and best practices for building reliable and maintainable test suites.
• Software Development Lifecycle: solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and experience working with CI/CD pipelines and modern software development practices.
• Version Control & Collaboration: experience working with Git and collaborative software development workflows.
• Bug Tracking & Test Management: experience with bug tracking systems such as Jira is required. Familiarity with test management tools, particularly the Xray plugin, is highly appreciated.
• Problem Solving & Debugging: excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to investigate failures, debug complex automation code, and identify root causes.
• Agile Development: experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.

What’s nice to have

• SQL Knowledge: basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL for database validation, querying, and data verification.
• API Testing: experience with REST APIs and API automation/testing.
• CI/CD & Containerization: familiarity with CI/CD tools and platforms such as Azure DevOps, as well as Docker, to integrate and execute automated tests within deployment pipelines and containerized environments.
• Cloud Platforms: basic understanding or familiarity with cloud environments such as Azure or AWS.
• Domain Knowledge: previous experience or knowledge of the Field Service Management (FSM) industry, including its main workflows and business entities.
• Additional Automation Technologies: experience with tools or frameworks such as Playwright, REST Assured, or other modern automation technologies is a plus.

• The expected annual gross salary range for this position is €32,000–€42,000.
