COMAS, a Coesia company headquartered in Silea, Italy, seeks a Purchasing Coordinator & Strategic Sourcing Lead to join and develop within our team. The successful candidate will coordinate a five-member purchasing team and define and implement procurement strategies for competitiveness, quality, reliability of supply and continuity.

The role covers end-to-end procurement, from supplier identification to negotiations, with a focus on achieving cost-saving targets and monitoring supplier

Competenze

• A degree in Economics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent disciplines.
• Excellent command of English.
• Experience in negotiating framework contracts and long‑term commercial agreements.
• Knowledge of data analysis tools and KPI monitoring.
• Excellent command of Microsoft Office.

• Overseeing procurement activities, supplier sourcing and negotiations for materials, components, equipment and services.
• Coordinating and developing the procurement team, ensuring tasks are allocated appropriately and departmental objectives are met.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Purchasing Coordinator & Strategic Sourcing Lead to join and develop within our team.

The successful candidate will coordinate the five-strong purchasing team and will be responsible for defining and implementing the company’s procurement strategies, ensuring competitiveness, quality, reliability of supply and operational continuity.

The successful candidate will have full responsibility for the procurement process, from the identification and qualification of suppliers through to the conclusion of commercial negotiations; they will have a comprehensive overview of the entire procurement lifecycle and will work closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers and COMAS’s operational staff.

They will also be responsible for achieving cost‑saving targets, managing key strategic suppliers and monitoring the performance of the supply base

in order to ensure that the company’s cost, quality and service objectives are met.

Key responsibilities:

• Overseeing procurement activities, supplier sourcing and negotiations for materials, components, equipment and services.
• Coordinating and developing the procurement team, ensuring tasks are allocated appropriately and departmental objectives are met.
• Implementing departmental procedures and carrying out procurement activities and related administrative tasks effectively and on time, to contribute to the achievement of company objectives.
• Managing financial and contractual negotiations with strategic national and international suppliers and liaising with suppliers to ensure delivery deadlines are met.
• Supporting company departments in gathering tenders and quotations for cost analysis and project development.
• Monitoring supplier performance using specific KPIs (quality, punctuality, competitiveness, service).
• Promoting improvement plans with suppliers and managing any supply‑chain issues.
• Preparing and managing purchase orders and related documentation in accordance with company procedures and policies.
• Ensuring compliance with company processes, group policies and ESG requirements applicable to the supply chain.

What You Need to Be Successful

• A degree in Economics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent disciplines.
• At least 10 years’ experience in purchasing or procurement coordination roles.
• Experience in managing and coordinating teams.
• Knowledge of logistics and production processes, with experience in purchasing both commercial components and parts manufactured to technical drawings.
• Experience in negotiating framework contracts and medium- to long-term commercial agreements.
• Excellent command of English.
• Good negotiation skills and the ability to manage relationships with national and international suppliers.
• Excellent command of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of data analysis tools and KPI monitoring.
• Willingness to travel as required by the business.

Our Offer:

Compensation for this role includes a base salary starting from EUR 52.800, in line with experience. The actual offer may exceed this minimum based on the candidate's qualifications and fit for the role. A range of additional benefits (e.g., insurances, etc.) is also available in accordance with Company policy. The applicable collective agreement is the CCNL Metalmeccanico.
