Job summary

Allianz is seeking an experienced Liability Underwriter for the Italian market, ideally based in Pavia or Lombardy. You will shape risk strategy aligned with Allianz Mid Corporate targets and work with Liability, Sales, Risk Consulting, Claims, and product lines to drive profitable growth and cross-selling.

Responsibilities include ensuring underwriting discipline, pricing integrity, regulatory compliance, and supporting new product initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Law or Economics.
• 3–5 years in underwriting profitable Liability business for corporate clients.
• Experience in PI / D&O / Cyber Risks and Multinational Programs.
• Proven leadership skills and data analytics capability.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Strong pricing and market analysis knowledge.
• Experience in designing wordings and underwriting projects.
• Ability to work in an international organization.

In this role, you will shape the Liability & Environmental Impairment Liability risk strategy for the Italian market and align it with Allianz Mid Corporate targets. You will collaborate with the Liability Team, Sales, Risk Consulting, Claims, and product lines to drive profitable growth and cross-selling. You will ensure underwriting discipline, pricing integrity, and regulatory compliance while supporting new product initiatives. This position offers impact through close cross-functional collaboration in a global insurer.

• Ensure underwriters comply with underwriting authority, pricing and rating guidelines
• Steer and control the local portfolio to meet financial targets
• Liaise with functional areas to review end-to-end underwriting performance
