Allianz Group in Milan seeks a seasoned professional to develop and execute underwriting strategy for Property & Multinational risk in the Italian market. You will collaborate with the Group and support local strategy to achieve Mid Corporate targets, acting as contact for agents and brokers.

The role requires 3+ years in profitable Property underwriting for corporate clients (PD/BI and Theft), multinational experience and fluency in Italian and English.

Competenze

• Degree in Engineering, Economics or Law or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of profitable Property underwriting experience for corporate clients (PD/BI and Theft).
• Multinational exposure and liability knowledge preferred.

Based in Milan and reporting to the Property Team, you will be in charge of developing and executing the strategy for the Property & Multinational risks into the Italian market. With strong ties to the Group, you will also support the local strategy to ensure the successful achievement of the Allianz Mid Corporate targets. You will be also the contact person for agents and/or brokers working with the Property Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure underwriters comply with underwriting authority, pricing and rating guidelines.
• Steer and control the portfolio at local level in conjunction with the Head of Property to drive the achievement of financial targets.
• Proactively liaise with functional areas to review performance of end-to-end underwriting life cycle.
• Work closely with Sales departments, Risk Consulting, Claims and other product lines to achieve key marketing strategies, including cross-selling.
• Ensure underwriting consistency and underwriting discipline and adherence to all corporate guidelines and authority levels, including Rules and Principles, Underwriting Authorities, corporate governance rules and local regulatory framework.
• Proactively support the development and implementation of new and/or modified products
• Support the acquisition of new business and retention of existing business (including agent and broker negotiations)
• Communicate local business strategy externally

Degree in Engineering or Economics or Law or equivalent Experience

• At least 3 proven experience in underwriting profitable Property business for Corporate Clients both PD/BI and Theft
• Preference if also experienced in Multinational clients as well as knowledge in Liability.
• Expertise in risk assessment and a firm understanding of policy administration life cycle.
• Sound knowledge of pricing, together with strong market analysis skills
• Ideally experience in designing, developing, and implementing consistent and robust wordings
• Ideally experience in driving underwriting projects
• Entrepreneurial mindset
• Strong communication skills
• Able to work in an international organization.
• Fluent in Italian and English (both written and spoken)
• Data Reporting

Very good knowledge in Office 365 and other collaborative tools

Pursuant to Article 5(1) of Legislative Decree No. 96 of 7 May 2026, as amended and supplemented from time to time, the range applicable to the position offered is between € 45.000 gross and € 55.000 gross.

Employment will be subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the National Collective Labor Agreement for Insurance Companies and the applicable Company Agreement.

The final determination of the starting remuneration will be based on an evaluation of the candidate’s qualifications, skills, and relevant experience in relation to the requirements of the role.
