Evoca Group is seeking a Product Development Project Manager to lead cross-functional product development and strategic initiatives. The role ensures clear requirements, realistic plans, timely decisions and delivery against performance, cost, quality and time-to-market targets.

You’ll collaborate with Product Management, R&D, Operations, Procurement, Quality and Value Engineering to evolve the portfolio and develop new product families.

Competenze

• A degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Industrial Engineering or a comparable technical background.
• Approximately 5-8 years of experience in project management within new product development or complex product engineering.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects involving R&D, Operations, Procurement, Quality and other functions.
• Strong understanding of complex electromechanical products and their interaction across mechanics, electronics, software and processes.
• Familiarity with stage-gate governance, risk management and change control.

We are looking for a Product Development Project Manager to join our Project Management and Value Engineering team.

Objective of the position is to lead cross-functional product development and strategic product initiatives, ensuring clear requirements, realistic plans, timely decisions and delivery against product performance, cost, quality and time-to-market targets.

The role will work closely with Product Management, R&D, Operations, Procurement, Quality, After Sales and Value Engineering, supporting both the evolution of our current product portfolio and the development of new product families.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Lead product development projects from concept definition through design, validation, industrialisation, launch and post-launch.
• Build and manage the project plan, coordinating activities, resources, milestones and interdependencies across the different functions.
• Work with Product Management and R&D to ensure that product requirements are sufficiently complete, measurable and technically feasible before development commitments are made.
• Monitor project deliverables, investment, risks and key decisions, identifying gaps and conflicting priorities early and escalating when required.
• Manage scope and requirement changes, assessing their impact on timing, cost, quality and project objectives.
• Ensure that product performance, target cost, TCO, quality, serviceability and sustainability objectives are considered throughout the project, working closely with the Cost and Value Engineering team.
• Support continuous improvement of product development processes and tools, applying an effective and pragmatic and effective approach to project governance.

To be successful in this role you’ll need to have:

• A degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Industrial Engineering or a comparable technical background.
• Approximately 5-8 years of experience in project management within new product development or complex product engineering environments.
• Experience in managing cross-functional projects involving R&D, Operations, Procurement, Quality and other business functions.
• A good understanding of complex electromechanical products and the interaction between mechanics, electronics, software and industrial processes
• Familiarity with structured product development processes, stage-gate governance, risk management and change control.
• The ability to understand and challenge product requirements, project assumptions, priorities and technical dependencies.
• A good business cases, product cost, investment and target-cost principles.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• A constructive and assertive approach, with the confidence to raise risks and challenge assumptions while maintaining effective working relationships.
• Clear and transparent communication, combined with a pragmatic and result-oriented mindset.
• Fluency in Italian and English.

Nice to have:

• Experience in professional appliances, industrial equipment, automotive or other complex electromechanical products.
• Exposure to Value Engineering, target costing, Design-to-Cost or TCO analysis.
• Experience with modular products, product families or platform-based development.
• Knowledge of APQP, Agile or hybrid development approaches, particularly for projects combining hardware and software.
• Experience working with international teams, suppliers or customers.
