Job summary

Entourage is a life sciences consulting firm focused on people and performance. We seek a capable Project Manager to oversee the lifecycle of engineering projects in a Lazio-based plant, collaborating with Engineering, QA, Production and EHS teams.

The role requires an engineering background, strong PMI/PRINCE2/PMBOK skills, and experience handling budget, risk and supplier relationships. The position is hybrid in the Rome area, with starting salary around €45,000 gross per year, commensurate

Qualifications

• PM experience in industrial or plant settings is required.
• Strong scheduling and CPM skills with MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Solid budgeting, cost control and resource estimation abilities.
• Proven risk management and mitigation planning experience.
• Engineering degree or equivalent background is required.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001; GMP; IQ/OQ/PQ quality frameworks.
• Knowledge of Italian health, safety and environmental rules.
• Experience with supplier management and procurement.
• Advanced Excel and Power BI reporting capabilities.
• Fluent English with international stakeholders.

Your role

• You manage the life cycle of the plant’s engineering projects.
• You work with internal stakeholders (Engineering, QA, Production, Plant Management, EHS) and with external stakeholders.
• You flag any issues that come up on the critical path or during project execution.

What you bring

Hard skills

• Project management: runs projects from start to finish (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, closure), using methods such as PMI/PMBOK or PRINCE2.
• Planning and critical path: builds and tracks project schedules and runs critical path analysis (CPM) in MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Budget and cost control: tracks costs and variances, estimates resources and manages CAPEX.
• Risk management: finds, assesses and reduces risks, using a risk register and contingency plans.
• Engineering background: knows industrial plants, production processes and utilities (degree in Engineering or a similar field).
• Quality and compliance: knows quality systems (ISO 9001; GMP in regulated industries) and equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• EHS: knows health, safety and environmental rules (Italian Legislative Decree 81/08, ISO 14001/45001) and construction site safety.
• Supplier management: handles contracts, procurement and relationships with suppliers and external contractors.
• Reporting: writes progress reports and tracks project KPIs; advanced Excel and Power BI.
• Native Italian speaker.

Soft skills

• Stakeholder management: coordinates several departments (Engineering, QA, Production, Plant Management, EHS) and external parties.
• Communication: raises issues clearly and early, and escalates them when needed.
• Problem solving and decision-making: solves problems under pressure and against tight deadlines.
• Leadership without formal authority: leads teams drawn from different departments.
• Negotiation and conflict resolution: finds a balance when priorities clash (for example production vs. construction works).
• Organization: runs several projects at once and sets priorities.
• Languages: fluent English, especially with international stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a PM in an industrial or plant setting.

Salary: Starting from €45,000 gross per year (RAL), commensurate with experience.
