Job summary

Haupt Pharma Latina S.r.l., a member of the Aenova Group, seeks a Project/Process Engineer for its Latina sterile production hub. You will manage CAPEX projects, define equipment specs and coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring GMP compliance and timely delivery.

Experience with installation, commissioning, qualification and validation, plus hands-on site presence, is required. Fluency in English is essential in this international setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in project/process engineering in pharma/chemical/food with GMP exposure.
• Strong field experience coordinating installation, commissioning and start-up on site.

Responsibilities

• Manage CAPEX engineering projects from feasibility and budget through design, execution, commissioning and handover.
• Develop technical specs and user requirements for equipment, selecting suitable tech and suppliers per GMP, EHS, standards.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors and suppliers and ensure communication with Production, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, Validation and Automation.
• Supervise on-site installation and field activities to meet technical, safety, and end-user requirements.
• Plan FAT, SAT, commissioning, PSSR, start-up and training; support qualification and validation as needed.
• Provide technical support for pharmaceutical equipment and utilities including HVAC, PW/WFI, clean steam and process systems.
• Interface with automation specialists to define requirements and ensure integration of equipment, utilities and control systems.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation (Gantt, WBS, cost tracking, risk assessments).
• Promote continuous improvement and ensure compliance with EHS requirements throughout project execution.

Your key responsibilities

• Manage CAPEX engineering projects from feasibility and budget definition through design, execution, commissioning and handover, ensuring delivery in line with scope, cost, timing and quality requirements.
• Develop technical specifications and User Requirements, selecting the most appropriate equipment, technologies and suppliers in compliance with GMP, EHS and applicable engineering standards.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, contractors and suppliers, ensuring effective communication with Production, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, Validation and Automation.
• Supervise on-site installation and field activities, ensuring equipment, utilities and facilities meet technical, safety, maintainability and end-user requirements.
• Plan and coordinate FAT, SAT, commissioning, PSSR, start-up and training, supporting qualification and validation activities where required.
• Provide technical support for pharmaceutical equipment and utilities, including HVAC, compressed air, PW/WFI, clean steam and process systems.
• Interface with Automation specialists and suppliers to define technical requirements and ensure effective integration between equipment, utilities and control systems.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including Gantt charts, WBS, cost tracking, risk assessments and project reporting.
• Promote continuous improvement and ensure compliance with EHS requirements and applicable safety regulations throughout project execution.

Your profile

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 2–3 years of experience in Project/Process Engineering, preferably within the pharmaceutical, chemical or food industry, with exposure to GMP-regulated environments.
• Strong field experience, with the ability to follow installation, commissioning and start-up activities directly on site and effectively interact with contractors and technical suppliers.
• Good understanding of process equipment, industrial systems and utilities, ideally including pharmaceutical clean utilities such as HVAC, PW/WFI and clean steam.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, technical drawings and engineering documentation, with a basic understanding of electrical and industrial automation systems.
• Familiarity with FAT, SAT, commissioning, qualification and validation processes.
• Knowledge of GMP principles and EHS requirements applicable to engineering projects.
• Previous exposure to sterile/aseptic manufacturing environments, cleanrooms, isolators/RABS, CIP/SIP or sterile utilities is a strong plus.
• Good project management and coordination skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and manage external suppliers.
• Good command of English.
• Hands‑on, solution‑oriented mindset, technical curiosity and willingness to work in a dynamic and international environment.

Annual salary range: € 40.000 - 45.000
