Saipem is seeking a Project Fabrication Manager to join the Offshore Project Fabrication Execution team within the ABSER Business Line. The role is based in Milano and fabrication yards, with responsibilities spanning plan, coordinate and control of offshore project fabrication activities.

The candidate should hold a Mechanical Engineering degree, have at least 10 years of experience in plant engineering on offshore platforms, and good knowledge of English (B2/C1) and Primavera or similar

Competenze

• Bachelors or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of experience in plant engineering on offshore platforms.
• Fluent knowledge of English (B2/C1) and experience with Primavera or similar scheduling tools.

Mansioni

• Plan, coordinate and control the execution of the project, within time and cost constraints and in compliance with HSE and Quality procedures.
• Ensure fabrication milestones for internal and external yards meet cost, time, quality, health, safety and environment objectives.
• Express fabrication needs during E&P phase, balancing time, cost and feasibility.
• Represent the company to clients, licensors, partners and subcontractors and manage contractual aspects.
• Perform contract analysis and review documents ensuring risk and knowledge management methodologies are applied.
• Define project strategies and scope of work, ensuring project activity planning is delivered.
• Manage cash flow by defining bid cost structure and approving cost estimates with the Estimator.
• Coordinate integration of packages from Operating Companies, Partners and Subcontractors, resolving discrepancies.
• Oversee post-bid clarifications and handover between Commercial and Execution Phases.
• Supervise home office engineering/procurement activities and field/offshore execution with HSE focus.
• Produce project reports and support Client during guarantee period.

Saipem Offshore Construction (SOC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Saipem S.p.A. SOC brings together all operational activities in Italy related to fabrication, technical services, maintenance, and logistics, providing essential support for the execution of offshore construction and offshore wind projects.

Purpose of the position:

As Project Fabrication Manager, you will join our Department Offshore Project Fabrication Execution in the ABSER Business Line.

How can you support us?

Here below your responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate and control the execution of the project, in accordance with Client requirements, within time and cost constraints and in compliance with HSE and Quality procedures
• Ensure, for the fabrication phase/activities performed both in internal and external yards, the achievement of the established cost, time, quality, health, safety and environment objectives in order to meet the contractual obligations
• Express Fabrication needs during the E&P phase (e.g., Make or Buy, Constructability, Material Management) identifying optimum balance between time, cost and feasibility
• Represent Company towards Clients, Licensors, Partners and Subcontractors managing also contractual aspects
• Ensure the proper contract analysis and the review of contractual documents, ensuring the implementation of methodologies related to risk and knowledge management and to Saipem Golden and Silver Rules
• Define project strategies and the scope of work of each Party (e.g. Proposal Plan, Project Architecture, Project Organization, Project Execution Plan, Quality Plan, Procurement Plan, Overall Resource Plan, etc.), ensuring the project activity planning
• Manage the project cash flow by define the bid cost structure and approve the cost estimate with the support of the Estimator
• Ensure the integration of packages prepared by each Operating Company, Partners (if any) and Subcontractors and reconcile possible discrepancies
• Manage the post-bid clarification phase with the Client
• Ensure the handover between Commercial and Execution Phase of the project
• Supervise home office engineering and procurement activities supported by the other project organisation roles
• Supervise site/yard and offshore activities, all project activities with regards to quality and HSE topics, supported by the other project organisation roles
• Ensure the issue of project reports (e.g. Cost Closure Report, Close-out Report, etc.) and the collection of project feedbacks by providing Client any assistance during the guarantee period.

What are we looking for?

Education: degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar qualification

Experience: at least of 10 years’ of experience in a similar role in plant engineering on offshore platforms

Languages: good knowledge of english (B2/C1)

IT Skills: primavera or similar software for project schedule preparation
