X-ELIO in Rome, Italy is seeking a Project Engineer to join our global renewable energy team. You will design photovoltaic installations, oversee PV layout through development stages, and coordinate interconnections with utilities.

Reporting to the Technical Project Manager, you will work in a hybrid model, liaising with clients, EPC contractors, and regulators, while ensuring adherence to international standards and delivering high-quality design documentation.

Competenze

• BEng, with focus on Electrical or Energy engineering. A master's degree in Photovoltaic, Renewable Energy or similar would be considered a plus.

Mansioni

• Design photovoltaic installations from schematic to detailed design, including calculations, specifications, and drawings.
• Oversee PV technical layout during greenfield, origination, and RTB to ensure feasibility and optimization.
• Handle interconnection process with the utility.
• Quantity survey and budgeting of designs to produce the design BOQ.
• Control the legal and technical processing of photovoltaic projects in the portfolio.
• Manage and communicate engineering input to site evaluation and characterization.
• Represent X-ELIO in meetings with clients, EPC contractors, suppliers, consultants, utilities and regulators.
• Assess locations and projects through site visits.

Reporting to the Technical Project Manager, and based in Rome, we are looking for a Project Engineer.

What will you do?

• Optimal design of photovoltaic installations to schematic and detailed design documentation, including calculations, specifications, and drawings.


• Oversee and manage the PV technical layout during the greenfield, origination, and RTB process, ensuring feasibility and optimization at each stage.


• Handle interconnection process with the utility.


• Quantity Survey and budgeting of designs to produce the design BOQ.


• Control the legal and technical processing of photovoltaic projects in the portfolio.


• Manage and communicate engineering/technical input to site evaluation and characterization.


• Represent X-ELIO in meetings, negotiation with clients, EPC contractors, suppliers, consultants, utilities, and regulatory authorities. Assess different locations and/or projects through site visits.

What do we need?

• BEng, with focus on Electrical or Energy engineering. A master's degree in Photovoltaic, Renewable Energy or similar would be considered a plus.


• Minimum 2 years of experience in the design of photovoltaic power plants.


• Familiar with international Standards for solar PV systems, and other relevant standards.


• Computer/Design Software literacy: PVSyst, AutoCAD, MS Office, including advanced MS Excel, AutoCAD. Electrical design software: ETAP, dmELECT, PLS-Cadd or similar, desired.


• Advanced level of English and Italian.
