Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, a leader in protection, automation, and system integration, seeks a Technical Lead to guide complex projects from concept to delivery. You will steer proposals, head cross-functional teams, and mentor staff while upholding SEL's values and manufacturing principles.

The role combines hands-on design, studies, and commissioning in a global, travel-heavy environment, with emphasis on strong leadership and customer satisfaction.

Competenze

• 8+ years of relevant application experience with electric power systems or industrial automation.
• Demonstrated knowledge of electric power system protection, control, integration, and automation.
• Knowledge of electric power system design, studies, ICT, and protective relay applications.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally at least 25%.
• Proven ability to lead and supervise project teams.
• Excellent writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Background check satisfactory to SEL; negative drug test results may be required.

This role combines technical leadership with hands-on design, studies, and commissioning in a global, travel‑heavy environment. You will drive impactful solutions in protection, automation, and system integration.

• Act as technical lead across multiple projects and focus areas, guiding concept, design, development, and support
• Identify and prepare compelling proposals for SEL equipment, services, and systems
• Lead project teams to address customer concerns and enhance satisfaction
• Ensure deliverables meet scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety targets
• Mentor and develop professional staff; may supervise as needed

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline
