A renewable energy developer is seeking a Project Engineer to drive the design of solar PV and related projects in Italy. This role offers the opportunity to work with external partners and oversee project implementation. Candidates should have a relevant engineering degree and at least 3 years of experience in the renewable energy sector. The position is full-time and hybrid based in Milan.

Competenze

• 3+ years’ experience in a similar role within Italy.
• Familiarity with E-Distribuzione and Terna processes.
• Experience with BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) projects is a bonus.

Are you passionate about driving the transition to clean energy? An established international renewable-energy developer is looking for a Project Engineer to join its growing Italian team.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the design and coordination of solar PV, PV + storage, and interconnection infrastructure projects.
• Oversee low, medium, and high-voltage infrastructure design, including overhead lines, underground lines, switching/transformer centers, and substations.
• Manage and collaborate with external engineering firms and ensure alignment with company strategy.
• Evaluate project status during development and work closely with procurement on cost evaluations.
• Estimate project yield and maintain professional relationships with EPCs, manufacturers, investors, utilities, developers, and landowners.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
• 3+ years’ experience in a similar role within Italy.
• Strong knowledge of Italian renewable-energy permitting procedures and familiarity with E-Distribuzione and Terna processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, Google Earth, IMEDEXA (or similar), and substation design software.
• Solid project-management skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Fluent English (other languages a plus).
• Experience with BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) projects is a bonus.
