PropertyTalents is seeking a Project Manager – Construction & Renewables based in Milan to lead industrial and logistics construction projects and drive energy initiatives, especially PV and BESS. You will manage cross-functional teams, coordinate designers and contractors, and ensure timely delivery.

The role requires site presence, strong technical oversight and travel to Northern Italy projects. A technical degree and proven PM delivery experience are essential.

A leading European player in industrial and logistics real estate, currently expanding its presence in the Italian market, is seeking aProject Manager – Construction & Renewables to join its technical team in Italy.

The position combines hands-on management of industrial and logistics construction projects with the development of energy initiatives, with a particular focus on photovoltaic systems and BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems).

This is a practical, delivery-focused role involving regular site presence and direct responsibility for coordinating designers, contractors, subcontractors and specialist consultants.

The ideal candidate comes from an industrial, logistics or infrastructure construction project management background and has knowledge of, or previous involvement in, photovoltaic and/or battery energy storage projects.
The objective is to appoint a Project Manager capable of directly managing project delivery while further developing their expertise in the energy sector, ultimately becoming the country-level point of reference for renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage industrial and logistics construction projects from the planning stage through construction, commissioning and final handover;
  
• Directly oversee site activities, coordinating contractors, subcontractors and suppliers;
  
• Work closely with designers, engineers, architects and consultants to define and review technical and design solutions;
  
• Prepare and monitor project schedules and progress reports, track budgets, oversee contractors and subcontractors against programme, cost, quality and technical compliance requirements, and provide regular project reporting to support risk management and key project decisions;
  
• Work closely with the Procurement team on the selection of and negotiations with suppliers, contractors and technical partners;
  
• Coordinate the installation, connection and commissioning of photovoltaic systems across the property portfolio;
  
• Support the development and delivery of BESS projects, coordinating specialist consultants, suppliers and contractors;
  
• Coordinate, together with internal and external specialists, permitting and grid connection processes for PV and BESS projects;
  
• Manage technical interfaces with grid operators and other stakeholders involved in grid connection and energisation;
  
• Monitor project risks, issues and variations, defining and implementing the necessary corrective actions;
  
• Ensure compliance with company standards, applicable regulations and HSE requirements.
  

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil, Building, Electrical, Energy or Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or an equivalent technical qualification;
  
• Solid experience in the management and delivery of construction projects, preferably within the industrial, logistics, commercial or infrastructure sectors;
  
• Experience with, or meaningful exposure to or involvement in, photovoltaic and/or BESS projects;
  
• Proven ability to directly manage contractors, subcontractors, designers and consultants;
  
• Good knowledge of construction scheduling, cost control, procurement and progress reporting;
  
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and bills of quantities;
  
• Understanding of permitting and grid connection processes for energy projects;
  
• Fluent Italian and at least an intermediate level of English;
  
• Willingness to travel to construction sites and projects across Northern Italy.
