IMA Group is seeking a Software Designer – Robotics & Vision for its Automation division in Bologna, Italy. You will design and develop software for machines and production lines, perform tests on bench and on equipment, and collaborate with electrical assembly and clients.

The role emphasizes robotics, ROS/ROS 2 familiarity, vision systems, and travel readiness; a Master’s degree and 2–3 years in automation help.

Competenze

• Master’s degree in Automation Engineering, Mechatronics or Computer Science.
• 2–3 years of work experience in automation or related fields.
• Proficiency in vision systems and programming with C#, Python and C++.
• Willingness to travel frequently, domestically and internationally.
• Good knowledge of English.

Mansioni

• Collaborate in selecting solutions and devices, designing and developing software for machines and lines based on functional specifications.
• Conduct tests on a test bench or directly on machines/lines for the developed software.
• Support Electrical Assembly in machine configuration and power-up activities, and assist during FAT with customers.
• Oversee R&D projects focused on Vision Systems and Robotics.
