LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well‑established manufacturing group to recruit a Production & Quality Control Manager in Italy. You will oversee production, quality, and procurement, drive KPI performance, and lead a cross‑functional team across manufacturing operations.

In this role you will optimize the value chain, manage the QMS, and collaborate with international stakeholders to deliver excellence in product quality and service.

Competenze

• Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Management Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven leadership in manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and process optimization.
• Experience coordinating Production, Quality and Supply Chain functions.
• Experience with ERP/MES and advanced planning systems.

• Coordinate and supervise production, assembly, machining and quality control.
• Manage and develop a direct reporting team including Quality Specialist and Planning/Workshop/Purchasing managers.
• Ensure KPIs for productivity, quality, on-time delivery and service.
• Oversee planning and procurement balancing material availability and capacity.

LHH is supporting a well-established manufacturing company, part of an international industrial group, in the search for a Production & Quality Control Manager.

The successful candidate will play a key role within the organization, overseeing production, quality, and procurement activities while ensuring operational efficiency, product quality, customer service excellence, and overall business profitability.

Operating in a highly customized manufacturing environment, the selected professional will work cross-functionally with different departments to ensure effective control and coordination of the entire operational and production value chain.

• Coordinating and supervising production, assembly, mechanical machining, and quality control activities.
• Managing and developing a direct reporting team composed of:
  • Quality Specialist;
  • Production Planning Manager;
  • Workshop Supervisor;
  • Purchasing Manager.
• Ensuring achievement of KPIs related to productivity, quality, on‑time delivery, and service performance.
• Overseeing planning and procurement processes, ensuring the optimal balance between material availability, production capacity, and business requirements.
• Collaborating with technical and commercial departments to manage customer projects and specific client requirements.
• Supervising the company's Quality Management System, promoting preventive and corrective actions aimed at enhancing performance and customer satisfaction.
• Identifying operational issues and implementing continuous improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction, efficiency enhancement, and process optimization.
• Supporting the evolution and implementation of digital tools and systems related to manufacturing and supply chain management.
• Interfacing with Group stakeholders within an international business environment.

Your Profile

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, or equivalent technical background.
• Proven experience in leadership positions within manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes, preferably within highly customized or engineer‑to‑order production settings.
• Demonstrated experience in coordinating Production, Quality, and Supply Chain functions.
• Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.
• Knowledge of the following methodologies will be considered a strong advantage:
  • Six Sigma;
  • SMED;
  • 5S.
• Experience with ERP, MES, and advanced production planning systems.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Opera MES, CyberPlan, and Mago ERP will be considered a plus.
• Fluent English is mandatory, as the role requires regular interaction with international stakeholders and Group functions.
