EssilorLuxottica in Rovereto, Italy, is seeking a Production Manager to lead a highly complex manufacturing department, ensuring outstanding quality and efficient operations. You will drive OEE and quality KPIs, program production, manage costs and safety, and mentor a diverse team.

A Master in Mechanical, Materials or Industrial Engineering and 5–7 years of relevant experience are required, with Lean and project-management skills.

• Master Degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering.
• 5–7 years of experience in complex manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of main mechanical and chemical processes.
• Project Management and Lean Production experience.
• Knowledge of productive and non-productive KPIs; IT & numerical skills.
• Fluent in English; strong reporting skills.
• Ability to work on several tasks simultaneously; strong people management.

As Production Manager you will have the opportunity to experience what it is like to manage a highly complex Manufacturing Department, assuring excellent quality standards.

Main responsibilities

• Management of the efficiency and OEE KPIs
• Production Programming, detection of deviations and taking management actions in order to guarantee the required levels;
• Management of quality KPIs
• Knowledge and application of delegation mechanism.
• Responsible of the quality of the parts produced in his Shop.
• Critical reading of indicators regarding the cost of auxiliary materials (costs of maintenance, costs of indirect materials, costs of scrap,…);
• Advanced knowledge of work cycles and methods
• Contribution to the definition of the surface treatment’s area budget
• Knowledge of specific procedures, organizational and management references in order to cope with the environmental emergences.
• Knowledge of the operative modalities for interventions regarding safety at work or with significant potential risk.

PORTRAIT OF A PERFECT CANDIDATE

• You have a Master Degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering or Industrial Engineering
• You have at least 5-7 years of experience in complex environments as Manufacturing Engineer, Production Manager, Operation Manager, Unit Manager or similar roles
• Knowledge of the main mechanical and chemical processes
• Project Management and Lean Production
• Knowledge of the productive and non-productive KPIs of a business unit
• IT & numerical Skills
• Fluent in English
• Reporting
• You are capable to work on several tasks simultaneously
• You have strong People Management skills
• You are a flexible person, able to adapt in a contest of constant change
