Luxottica is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer Intern at our Agordo plant (BL, Italy). You will work with production teams, monitor quality standards, and drive continuous improvement across the plant quality system in a dynamic, international environment.

You should be pursuing a degree in Engineering (mechanical or materials), have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and be fluent in Italian and English.

Manufacturing Quality Engineer Internship

Location: Agordo, IT

We are looking for a motivated, curious and enterprising candidate to join us at our Manufacturing Plant in Agordo (BL, Italy).

As Quality Production intern you will put your hands-on different challenges working within a dynamic, markedly young and international environment, and you will have the opportunity to face a stimulating and constantly evolving business with a particular focus on our production's steps.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate daily with production teams to ensure compliance with quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Monitor production activities, identify improvement opportunities, and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Plant Quality Management System by promoting process optimization and operational excellence.
  • Analyze quality data and production KPIs to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
  • Support problem-solving activities using structured quality methodologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions.
  • Assist in the management of non-conformities, customer complaints, and internal quality issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Participate in audits and ensure compliance with company procedures and quality requirements.
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to quality performance and improvement initiatives.
Main Requirement.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.
  • Proactive attitude, willingness to take ownership, and enthusiasm for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities, and embrace new challenges.
  • 0-1 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related industrial environment

Your role

We are looking for a Quality Engineer intern who will support the team in different activities.

Main responsibilities:

Perform scrap analysis and identify trends to support process improvements.

Support the implementation of managerial action plans and supervise technical corrective actions.

Support in project management activities in collaboration with stakeholders from other departments and plants.

Assist in audits and the development or improvement of internal procedures.

Support validation activities related to material management and process capability.

Monitor and improve KPIs related to qualitative returns and product conformity.

Ensure the application and tracking of quality indicators within the production area.

Contribute to delivering innovative solutions aimed at eliminating process-related flaws.

Support the escalation process for unresolved cross-functional issues in critical product lines

Main requirements:
  • Educational background in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Materials Engineering).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across various departments and levels within the organization.
  • Analytical mindset, capable of interpreting complex data and using it to inform decisions.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to handle shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in Italian and English; additional languages are a plus.
