Syngenta is seeking a Procurement Specialist for a maternity leave contract, based in Atessa, Italy. The role focuses on managing supplier relationships, optimizing purchasing processes, and supporting a global SAP/4HANA implementation to drive sustainable, compliant procurement operations.

Key responsibilities include tender oversight, supplier negotiations, and collaboration with Legal and other functions to ensure alignment with policies.

Competenze

• 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in procurement, supply chain, or roles supporting complex projects.
• Strong interest in purchasing processes, operational excellence and sustainability.
• Proactive, results-oriented mindset and ability to work effectively in dynamic cross-functional environments.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with ERP systems, particularly SAP.
• Knowledge of company systems and ways of working is a plus.

Mansioni

• Manages supplier relationships from scouting and qualification through purchase order issuance.
• Support supplier negotiations and allocate purchasing requirements to appropriate suppliers.
• Monitor tender processes, prepare bid analyses and contribute to supplier selection meetings.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and related functions to flag supply issues affecting operations.
• Support the Global Natural Extracts & Biostimulants Procurement Lead in investments and other projects.
• Collaborate with Legal to define supply contracts aligned with policies and standards.
• Monitor supplier performance, including post-contract performance.
• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement processes and best approaches.

TheRole

ReportingtotheGlobalNaturalExtracts&BiostimulantsProcurementLead,theProcurementSpecialistwill contributetotheeffectivemanagementofprocurementactivitiesinlinewithbusinessstrategy,qualitystandardsandefficiencytargets.

TherolewillplayanimportantpartintheglobalimplementationofthenewSAPS/4HANAsystem,helpingoptimisepurchasingprocessesandpromotesustainable,compliantoperationsacrosstheorganisation.Thisisavaluableopportunitytoworkinaninternationalenvironmentonahigh-impacttransformationinitiative.

KeyResponsibilities
