Job summary

Exyte in Lombardia seeks a senior procurement and subcontract management leader to drive strategy, governance, and value across EPC/EPCM projects in our global program. You will mentor teams, optimize sourcing, and ensure compliance and risk control while delivering commercial success.

You bring extensive experience in project procurement, strong SAP MM/Ariba skills, fluent Italian and English, and willingness to travel to client locations as required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in project management, ideally within EPC/EPCM projects or plant engineering/construction.
• Strong understanding of commercial contracts, procurement processes, and subcontract management.
• Demonstrated experience in contract and claim management across the procurement and subcontracting lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and mentor the Project Procurement Management and Project Subcontract Management teams.
• Provide expert guidance and governance throughout all project procurement activities.
• Ensure compliance with policies during project execution.
• Develop and enhance procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and global initiatives.
• Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks to minimize claims and impacts.

In this role you shape and drive procurement and subcontracting excellence for complex projects by leading high-performing teams, optimizing sourcing strategies, and ensuring commercial success while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and project execution.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and mentor the Project Procurement Management and Project Subcontract Management teams.
• Provide expert guidance, support, and governance throughout all project procurement and subcontracting activities.
• Ensure compliance with Corporate PSM, EHS, and Corporate Compliance policies during project execution.
• Develop and continuously enhance procurement and subcontracting strategies in alignment with business objectives and global initiatives.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks to minimize potential claims and project impacts.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, business units, and project teams to drive procurement excellence.
• Monitor procurement performance, optimize supplier engagement, and support successful project delivery.
• Lead strategic sourcing and supplier development initiatives to strengthen the supplier base, improve competitiveness, and support long‑term project and business requirements.
• Establish and oversee procurement risk management frameworks, including the identification, assessment, mitigation, and escalation of supply, commercial, contractual, and project delivery risks.
• Drive governance, standardization, and continuous improvement of procurement processes, digital tools, data quality, and performance reporting across projects and business units.
• Provide contract and claim management oversight throughout the procurement and subcontracting lifecycle.
• Support procurement delivery across EPC/EPCM projects and foster consistent application of procurement standards and best practices.

Show your expertise

• Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a comparable commercial/technical qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in project management, ideally within EPC/EPCM projects or plant engineering/construction environments.
• Strong understanding of commercial contracts, procurement processes, and subcontract management.
• Demonstrated experience in contract and claim management across the procurement and subcontracting lifecycle.
• Hands‑on experience in EPC/EPCM project environments.
• Proven experience in global vendor management, supplier development, and strategic sourcing.
• Advanced IT skills, particularly in MS Office, SAP MM, and SAP Ariba.
• Fluent Italian and good English language skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and team‑motivation skills, combined with a willingness to travel.
• Availability to travel to client project locations when required.

The salary range for this position is between € 64’500 and € 80’300gross per year (full-time). The exact salary will be determined within this range based on objective and transparent criteria, including role scope, qualifications, and relevant professional experience.
