Job summary

Exyte in Italy's Lombardy region is seeking an experienced Project Procurement professional to manage subcontractor performance and commercial activities on complex semiconductor and high-tech facility projects.

You will drive risk mitigation, contract negotiations, and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in project procurement/purchasing, preferably in plant engineering or semiconductor projects.
• Experience with GMP environments and utility systems (UPW, chemicals, gases) or electrical systems (MV, LV, I&C/MSR).
• Strong subcontract management, contract administration, and commercial project execution.
• Proven negotiation skills with multiple stakeholders.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control subcontractor performance for cost, quality, and schedule.
• Manage subcontractor invoicing, receivables, and commercial administration.
• Lead change order management with subcontractors.
• Support claim management with Contract Management.
• Identify and mitigate risks from delays or performance issues.
• Negotiate subcontract agreements and commercial terms.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Quality, Scheduling, and Project Management; report to the Project Procurement Manager.

Join our project execution team and play a key role in managing subcontractor performance and commercial activities for complex semiconductor and high-tech facility projects. In this position, you will support successful project delivery through effective subcontract management, risk mitigation, contract negotiations, and close collaboration with multidisciplinary project teams.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

• Monitor and control subcontractor performance regarding cost, quality, and schedule compliance.
• Manage subcontractor invoicing, receivables, and commercial administration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead supplement, variation, and change order management with subcontractors.
• Support claim management activities in close cooperation with Contract Management.
• Identify and mitigate risks arising from subcontractor delays or performance issues.
• Negotiate subcontract agreements and commercial terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Quality, Scheduling, and Project Management while providing regular reporting to the Project Procurement Manager and driving continuous improvement through Lessons Learned activities.

Show your expertise

• Successfully completed business, engineering, or technical education, or equivalent commercial/technical qualification.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in project procurement/purchasing, ideally within plant engineering or semiconductor projects.
• Experience in process technologies for biopharmaceutical or semiconductor manufacturing facilities, including GMP environments and utility systems such as ultrapure water, chemicals, and gases; alternatively, experience in electrical systems (MV, LV, I&C/MSR).Strong understanding of subcontract management, contract administration, and commercial project execution.
• Proven negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a project environment.
• Proficient in MS Office and SAP MM.Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.

The salary range for this position is between € 44'000 and € 50'400 gross per year (full-time). The exact salary will be determined within this range based on objective and transparent criteria, including role scope, qualifications, and relevant professional experience.
