Job summary

BorgWarner is seeking a Process & Manufacturing Engineer to bridge OT and IT, designing and digitalizing manufacturing processes with automation and AI. You will support new product launches, process development and digital transformation across production, quality, engineering and sales.

You'll implement IT/OT integrations, analyze data to improve OEE, reduce waste and lead AI-driven solutions for predictive maintenance, contributing to Industry 4.0/5.0 initiatives in a global setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechatronics, Automation, Industrial, Manufacturing, Computer Engineering or equivalent).
• 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing/Process Engineering or IT/OT integration in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation systems, PLCs, SCADA/HMI and industrial networks.
• Familiarity with PFMEA, OEE analysis and problem-solving tools.
• Basic knowledge of data analytics, industrial databases, and AI/Machine Learning applications is a plus.
• Strong analytical, project management and teamwork skills.
• Good command of English.
• Experience in automotive or global manufacturing environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design IT/OT integration solutions linking production equipment, automation systems, MES, ERP and cloud platforms
• Analyze manufacturing processes and data to improve OEE, reduce waste and enhance performance
• Develop and support automation, robotics, digitalization and AI-based solutions for optimization and quality
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality and Sales to define manufacturing strategies and projects
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, standards and procedures ensuring quality and safety compliance
• Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, capacity and ergonomics
• Participate in feasibility reviews and support continuous improvement across operations
• Coordinate digital transformation and Industry 5.0 projects with stakeholders and partners
• Contribute to cross-functional and international projects using structured problem-solving methodologies
