AVL Italia is seeking a Design Engineer responsible for creating and managing design documentation and 3D/2D models for powertrain components and assemblies. You will ensure manufacturability and quality while maintaining documentation in AVL systems.

The role requires hands-on CAD experience (Catia/Creo), knowledge of GD&T, and familiarity with automotive industry standards, with English at a good to advanced level.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
• Practical work experience in design of powertrain/vehicle components.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD systems (Catia and/or Creo).
• Experience in defining and applying shape, orientation, and location tolerances.
• Familiarity with automotive industry standards and processes.
• English language skills: good to advanced.

Mansioni

• Create 3D models for components and assemblies per project CAD guidelines.
• Develop 2D manufacturing drawings per standards and production tech.
• Maintain data quality and exchange with internal/external partners.
• Perform regular design checks for package, assembly, and manufacturability compliance.
• Update component documentation in AVL-PDM and Powertrain DB.
• Support lead engineers and project managers during execution.
• Provide technical support for resident engineers.
• Assist in creating documentation for training, knowledge management, and patents.
• Assist AVL internal procurement via information exchange with customers/suppliers.
