Alpinestars in Asolo, Italy, is seeking a CAD Product Engineer to drive product development with a focus on high-quality, technical gear.

You will deliver 2D/3D modelling, manage production information flow between R&D and suppliers, and establish lab test requirements for new items.

A mechanical engineering degree and 5+ years in automotive or sporting goods, plus CATIA proficiency and English fluency, are required.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in automotive or sporting goods.
• Solid CATIA surface modelling experience.
• Fluent English.

Position

We are currently looking for a skilled CAD PRODUCT ENGINEER to take on a pivotal position in product development so to create innovative, high-quality and technical products.

Responsibilities

• You will be delivering 2D/3D modelling for product engineering;
• You will be responsible for the production information flow management, facilitating communication and exchange of information between the R&D, internal and external stakeholders;
• Moreover, you will also establish LAB test requirement for each item necessary for our collections (plastic parts, mechanism), linked to Activity Plan properly set;
• You will collect Quality Control documentation for approval processes (QC drawing starting from available 3D files; PPT file for QC checking);
• You will also be responsible for labelling for approval to distribute to site production/ internal department, as per our QC procedure;
• You will communicate regularly with production site and nominated suppliers for R&D development activities (material samples / injected parts / technical datasheet alignment);
• You will discuss and implement corrective actions when required, so to maintain adherence to product design and prevent/resolve material and/or process-related defects;
• You will also record all needed data for technical specification and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical engineer is preferable;
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience gained within the automotive and / or Sporting Goods industries;
• Solid 3D CAD knowledge in CATIA surface modelling is a must have;
• Fluency in English.
