AVL Italia S.p.A. is seeking a Design Engineer to create and manage design documentation for powertrain components and complete vehicles. You will develop 3D models and 2D drawings ensuring manufacturability and quality, while maintaining AVL-PDM records and supporting project teams.

The role requires a degree in engineering, experience with Catia/Creo, and English proficiency. Location-based posting reflects several IT sites with a permanent contract and long-term mobility within AVL's global

Competenze

Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
Practical work experience in the design of powertrain and/or vehicle components.
Proficiency in 3D CAD systems (Catia and/or Creo).
Experience defining and applying shape, orientation, and location tolerances.
Familiarity with automotive industry standards and processes.
Good to advanced English language skills.

Mansioni

Create 3D models for components and assemblies per project CAD guidelines.
Develop 2D drawings for manufacturing using current standards and production tech.
Ensure data quality and exchange with internal/external partners.
Conduct design checks for package boundaries, assembly processes, and manufacturability.
Maintain and update component documentation in AVL-PDM and AVL Powertrain Database.
Support lead engineers and project managers during project execution.
Provide technical support for resident engineers.
Help create documentation for training, knowledge management, and patents.
Assist AVL internal procurement through information exchange with customers and suppliers.
