World Food Programme seeks a Programme Policy Officer (Regular Consultant level II) to lead the development and operationalization of the Child Safeguarding Framework, including the ED Circular, and to provide technical support for integrating child protection into programme design.

The position is home-based with a focus on coordinating with HQ, Regional Bureaux, and Country Offices to produce guidance, SOPs, training materials, and governance structures for safeguarding across WFP operations.

Competenze

• Postgraduate qualification in development studies or related field.
• At least 10 years of progressively responsible protection experience, with 5+ years in technical assistance, design, implementation or evidence generation on child protection.
• Experience in emergency/humanitarian settings and familiarity with WFP operations is desirable.

Mansioni

• Lead development and operationalization of WFP's Child Safeguarding Framework.
• Draft, consult, and obtain approval for the Executive Director's Circular on Child Safeguarding.
• Provide technical support to integrate child safeguarding and protection across programme design and CSP reviews.
• Develop guidance, tools, SOPs and training materials for implementation and governance.
