World Food Programme (WFP) seeks a Programme Policy Officer to lead the development and operationalization of the Child Safeguarding Framework, including the Executive Director's Circular, and to coordinate consultations with internal and external stakeholders.

The role provides technical support to Country Offices, advises on child-safe programming across GPI areas, and promotes learning, capacity building, and evidence generation to strengthen safeguarding across all programmes.

Competenze

• Postgraduate qualification in development studies, gender, international development, or sociology is required.
• At least 10 years of progressive protection experience, with 5+ years in child protection.
• Experience in humanitarian settings and policy work is desirable.

Mansioni

• Lead the development and operationalization of WFP's Child Safeguarding Framework, including drafting and gaining approval for an Executive Director's Circular, and coordinating consultations with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop supporting guidance, tools, and SOPs to implement the circular, and establish governance and accountability mechanisms.
• Support corporate learning initiatives and donor engagement on child safeguarding standards; strengthen integration into programme design and implementation.
• Provide technical support to Country Offices, advise on child-sensitive programming, and promote risk analyses and practical learning materials.
