Job summary

Intella is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to own and operate our cloud infrastructure across GCP/AWS. You will run Kubernetes clusters, secure the platform, and enable engineering with robust CI/CD tooling. The role is based in Milan with hybrid work options and occasional travel to customer deployments.

You will collaborate closely with the CTO and engineering team to ensure reliability, auditability, and scalable performance for satellite fleet operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and operating live cloud infrastructure in production on GCP or AWS.
• Strong Linux and networking skills in production.
• Production experience with Kubernetes and infrastructure as code (Terraform or equivalent).
• Experience with infrastructure security and hardening.
• Excellent problem-solving and documentation discipline.
• Autonomy and ownership in a small team.
• Fluent English.
• Based in Italy.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain infrastructure as code across multiple clouds (GCP/AWS) with high availability and scalability.
• Run and manage Kubernetes clusters: deployments, observability, upgrades, cost and resource optimisation.
• Manage Linux server environments and networking, including on-premise labs.
• Maintain internal and customer-facing tools and services.
• Support deployments of products in customer environments (cloud or on-premise).
• Apply security best practices across infrastructure and platforms; handle ISO27001, SOC 2, NIS2 controls and audits.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling; document runbooks, backups, disaster recovery and on-call.
• Track infrastructure costs and propose optimisations.
