Job summary

Tesco Pharmacy is seeking a Duty Pharmacy Manager to lead a busy team and deliver NHS and private services while guiding colleagues and maintaining excellent patient care. The role focuses on leadership, service delivery, and community outreach within Tesco Pharmacies.

You will collaborate with GPs and Primary Care Networks, oversee payments for NHS items, and participate in Tesco’s leadership and charity initiatives.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree and GPhC registration are required.
• Willing to join PVG scheme; DBS checks are arranged by Tesco.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to empower a pharmacy team.

Responsibilities

• Supply prescriptions and NHS/private services; provide healthcare advice.
• Support charities program by advising community members at risk of cancer, heart disease, and diabetes.
• Assist Pharmacy Manager in leading, training, and developing colleagues.
• Help build relationships with Primary Care Networks and GP surgeries.
• Ensure accurate NHS claim processing for covered items.
