Job summary

Splendido, A Belmond Hotel, is seeking a Commis de Pastry for the 2027 season. The role reports to the Pastry Chef and focuses on producing desserts and pastries to Belmond standards with attention to detail and artistic presentation.

The ideal candidate has culinary pastry training or equivalent experience, at least 1 year in a pastry kitchen, and excellent teamwork and communication skills. Seasonal Labour contract includes accommodation and staff facilities.

Qualifications

• Formal pastry arts qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 1 year in a pastry kitchen, preferably luxury hotel or fine dining.
• Strong foundational and contemporary pastry techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie Pastry in daily pastry operations.
• Prepare and produce desserts, cakes, pastries, ice creams and sweet items.
• Maintain precise measurements, techniques and quality.
• Keep pastry kitchen clean, organized and hygienic.
• Learn new techniques and recipes as required.
