Joybuy, based in Rome, Italy, seeks a Pan-EU Senior Category Manager for the Book category to shape strategy across Europe and lead execution on revenue, margins, and inventory. You will drive consumer insights, negotiate with major publishers, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimise cross-border logistics while collaborating with marketing and tech to enhance discovery and personalization.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Marketing, International Trade, Business Admin, Literature, Publishing, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 8+ years in category management/marketing/e-commerce in CPG, media or publishing; 3+ years in books team leadership.
• Deep understanding of European book markets and BISAC/Thema classifications; cultural nuance awareness.
• Strong knowledge of print/digital supply chain dynamics and supplier agreements over €10M annually.

Mansioni

• Define annual and mid-to-long-term strategy for Book category across Europe; own execution of sales, margin, inventory, and profit.
• Lead analysis of consumer trends and set country-specific assortment and pricing per regulations.
• Drive negotiations with publishers; secure exclusive editions and coordinate rights for digital releases.
• Ensure compliance with EU laws, VAT, and Digital Services Act; oversee cross-border logistics and costs.
• Collaborate with marketing and tech to improve recommendations and content localization.
